Oxynoe olivacea Rafinesque, 1814
SACOGLOSSA
Medium sized shelled sacoglossan often found hiding amongst Caulerpa prolifera (a green alga). It inhabits bays or areas of calm water with muddy sand where its food source grows in abundance. The colour varies from light green to brownish with several paler spots on the body. Rhinophores are present, coloured green, rolled, and with paler spots forming a line at the tips. The body is covered with small paler coloured small papillae. External shell is present but covered with skin; a siphonal canal is present.
Size: 20mm. Uncommon.

Specific characteristics: Shape, specific colour and habitat makes this species easy to identify.
