Medium to small sized cephalaspidean, with
a whitish base colour mottled with small
brown spots. Two dark brown marks were
seen in two specimens collected on
different dates. Body is generally
elongated to oval. This species is generally
very sensitive to light and actively
searches for darker areas.
Size range: 9-16mm. Rare.
Specific characteristics:Many similar
species and identification is based on size,
colour and shell (internal) ornamentation
which generally requires dissection.
