'Stiliger' sp1
4mm Qajjenza <1m depth 23/9/93
Small sacoglossan found in the intertidal zone on filamentous green algae together with Ercolania viridis. The body colour is cream colour with darker patches over the body and dorsal area. Cerata are generally thinner than the related Ercolania viridis and less intensly coloured though often with white spots on the sides and a dark spot at the tips. Rhinophores solid and generally pointed forward rather than side ways (Ercolania viridis).
Size range of specimens: 3-5mm

Specific characteristics: May be confused with Ercolania viridis but the thinner cerata and darker colouration on the dorsum are sufficient to distinguish the two species.
